Located in the heart of Toronto, Timothy Eaton Memorial Church is uniquely appointed to make your wedding the visual, musical and spiritual experience you have always dreamed of.
The bride arrives at the circa 1910 stone porte-cochère and enters the cathedral-like setting along the 39-metre (127-foot) centre aisle, which can be decorated with candelabra, ribbon and flowers. The crimson-cushioned, dark oak pews will accommodate as many as 800 guests, although most weddings in the sanctuary have between 100 and 200 guests.
Smaller weddings with fewer than 50 guests can be held in the more intimate chancel area in front of the altar, in the glow of jewel-toned light from the brilliant stained glass window, a reproduction of the famous painting, “The Light of the World,” by Holman Hunt.
Completing the ambience is the thrilling sound of the mighty Casavant organ, with more than 7,000 pipes. One of the largest organs in Canada, it is considered by many to be the finest. Eaton Memorial’s musicians and soloists fill the sanctuary with melodies of love and praise, bringing all the elements of the ceremony together in glorious harmony.
If grandeur and majesty aren’t quite your style, the East Chapel is ideal for a smaller, more intimate ceremony. Natural light plays on carved oak panelling there, to create an elegant yet inviting atmosphere.
One of our four ministers will conduct the service, and will meet with you in advance to talk about this new phase in your life and to discuss the details of, what will be, a moving and meaningful ceremony.
Following the wedding service, take advantage of our picturesque grounds for photographs. The covered stone terrace is particularly elegant.
Our Wedding Co-ordinator, Joanne Leatch is at your service. Please make your initial contact with her at
