Take Home Exam for the Confirmation Class

  2. Write out (preferably from memory) The United Church Creed. Choose two lines which are important to you and explain why?

  3. What is your favorite hymn and why?

  5. Jesus taught using a storytelling approach. Many of his teachings are found within a collection of parables. Which is your favorite parable? How has it influenced your life?

  9. Read 1 Corinthians 13:1 - 13. Paul wrote this to the church at Corinth as a model for their lives together. What did Paul say was greater: faith, hope or love?

  10. When and how did TEMC get started.

  11. If there were no churches what would be missing?

  12. Do you believe that it is ever acceptable to kill? What are you thoughts on euthanasia (mercy killing), capital punishment, and abortion?
