This instrumental ensemble participates in Sunday morning 9:15 worship, and rehearses Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m. The ensemble plays mainly traditional jazz standards, and accompanies hymns and anthems for the congregation and choral ensembles. There is an open invitation to people of all ages and skill levels to participate. Leadership is provided through the support of a core of professional, extremely friendly jazz musicians. Various levels of involvement are possible, all in a relaxed, supportive environment. A basic ability to read music is required. All instruments (brass, woodwinds, strings) are invited to participate in this groundbreaking experience.
